Roca reaffirms its commitment to the development and promotion of young talent through partnerships with young professionals. If some time ago it was Alexandra Barrachina, winner of the first One Day Design Challenge, who designed some settings for Roca's Thinbig® tiles, now it is the turn of Àlex Casabò, winner of the 2014 Spanish edition of One Day Design Challenge, and his accessories brand Mediterrans, created in 2015.
Àlex is responsible for the design of a special edition of One Day Design Challenge backpacks by Mediterrans for the winners of the 2018 competition. The design of the backpack has been adapted to the aesthetics and image of the One Day Design Challenge and a joint logo has even been created so that the Mediterrans brand remains visible and Roca’s main objective of promoting young talent can be fulfilled. The backpack has been a success and has been handed out in the editions that have taken place this year.
“For Roca, this collaboration represents an opportunity of working with a young and creative professional who has developed a high-quality product”, says Núria Vall-llovera, Brand Communication Manager and Curator of One Day Design Challenge.
