Maria Grądzka
My name is Maria Grądzka, and I am a final-year interior design student at PJAIT in Warsaw, Poland. Designing spaces is my passion – I am particularly interested in how design influences people’s well-being and shapes their experiences. In my projects, I strive to create solutions that seamlessly combine aesthetics with functionality.
During my studies, I participated in a six-month exchange program at an art school in Portugal and completed an internship at the interior design studio Masquespacio in Valencia, Spain. There, I mainly worked on the ILMI project – the Science and Innovation Center in Riyadh. I also explored the art of ceramics, further enriching my understanding of the creative process and introducing me to new materials. These experiences significantly expanded my horizons in design and opened me to new challenges.
Winning the One Day Design Challenge Roca Poland was an extraordinary experience for me. Although the short project timeline created a slight, positive pressure, it encouraged focus and nurtured a different kind of creativity. This award, which I regard as a major success, has inspired me to consider pursuing design as my master’s degree field.
