The winner of the 1st edition of the Roca One Day Design Challenge in Poland (2018) has designed a metal “mask” that protects our image from facial recognition algorithms used by modern cameras installed in public spaces.

Ewa graduated from the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2017. Her master's diploma was research work on the possibility of using hemp fibre in modern design on the example of objects made of potato starch-based biocomposites. Innovative solutions emerging from the idea of sustainable development are a great inspiration for her. Since 2014 she designs products and visual communication in the multidisciplinary design studio KABO & PYDO based in Warsaw. Ewa, apart from designing for the industry, is passionate about sculpture and jewellery design. Her project of artistic installation for the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw took first place in the competition organized in 2014. One of her latest jewellery works is now exhibited at the National Museum in China in the province of Guizhou.
