David Taipina is 26 years old and is from Coimbra, Portugal. Motivated by curiosity and his personal willingness to make things happen, he is a designer focused on turning ideas into reality. With a great passion for natural materials and their manufacturing processes, he is inevitably attracted to product design.

After completing his master’s degree in Product Design and Engineering at Aveiro University, he started working at De La Espada, a high-end solid wood furniture company where he acquired knowledge and expertise in traditional woodworking and upholstery.

His participation in Roca’s ODDC contest was an excellent opportunity to put into practice what he has learned throughout his career as a Product Designer.
